Cortipeek
Understand your browsing habits through a stress estimate.
What it is
Cortipeek looks at today's browsing — the pages you visit, the time you actually spend on them and the tone of their titles — and turns it into a stress gauge from 0 to 100. It shows what pushes the needle up or down, hour by hour and page by page.
Why it exists
A day spent on job boards, bills, heavy news and a crowded inbox feels different from one spent on music, recipes or a series. Seeing it on a gauge helps you notice the pattern and take a break before it builds up, without handing your history to anyone.
What you can do
- Ten built-in interface languages, selectable in settings and available offline
- A stress gauge for the current day, reset every midnight
- Real time measured on the active tab, with video and music still counted when you stop touching the keyboard
- Pages recognised by site, search query and title keywords: job search, money and admin, health worries, news, work, social media, video, music, sport and hobbies
- Positive or negative tone of each title, with negations ("not bad"), intensifiers, emojis, shouting and unread counters
- The factors behind the score in points, including late-night browsing, fragmented browsing, repeated checking and long sessions without a break
- An hour-by-hour timeline of tension and calm, and the list of today's pages with their impact
- Gemini Nano, Chrome's built-in AI, to classify unknown pages when it is available on your computer

Optional statistics
Off by default. Extension options let you allow version, platform, daily availability, opens and fixed feature/error counters to be sent to Hodogon. No account, browsing history, visited URLs, content, movie/game names or error text is sent. Disabling clears the local identifier and counters. Availability depends on extension wake-ups and does not count all installed copies.
Not a medical measure
The score is an estimate based on browsing behaviour. It does not measure cortisol or any other biological signal, and it is not medical advice.
Privacy
The extension reads today's browsing history and the active tab's address and title. Everything is computed and stored in your browser, older days are deleted automatically and browsing history stays local. Gemini Nano, when used, runs locally inside Chrome.
