Lettertier

Sort your Letterboxd watchlist by personal priority.

What it is

Lettertier lets you tag each film poster of your Letterboxd watchlist as Important, Medium or Not important, then sort and filter by that priority. Your choices are kept locally and nothing is changed on Letterboxd.

Why it exists

A long watchlist hides the films you really want to see next. A personal priority on each poster brings them back to the top.

What you can do

  • Ten built-in interface languages, selectable in settings and available offline
  • Three priority levels per poster, Medium by default
  • Stable sorting by priority, with filters and counters
  • Choices stored locally, with no change to your Letterboxd data
  • Works on watchlist pages

How to install

Install this ZIP manually in a desktop Chromium browser. Your browser requires Developer mode and your confirmation to load the extension.

  1. Download the zip file and extract it. Keep the extracted LETTERTIER folder somewhere permanent, for example in your Documents.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, edge://extensions in Edge, or brave://extensions in Brave.
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top right in Chrome, left menu in Edge).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the LETTERTIER folder.
  5. Open your Letterboxd watchlist: each poster gets a priority selector.

To update, download the new version, replace the folder’s content and click the reload arrow on the extension’s card.

Optional statistics

Off by default. Extension options let you allow version, platform, daily availability, opens and fixed feature/error counters to be sent to Hodogon. No account, browsing history, visited URLs, content, movie/game names or error text is sent. Disabling clears the local identifier and counters. Availability depends on extension wake-ups and does not count all installed copies.

Name in your browser

The installed extension appears as Letterboxd Watchlist Priority.
