YouTube · Browser extension

Tubeboon
Everything YouTube is missing, in one calm extension.
What it is
Tubeboon gathers the tools you would otherwise install one by one: a buffer bar on the player, dislikes back, sponsor skipping, a distraction blocker, watched-video tracking, subscription folders, a learning dashboard, AI chapters, playlist tools and translated dubbing.
Why it exists
Improving YouTube usually means stacking a dozen extensions that each want access to your browsing. This one does it in a single place, with every feature switchable and your data kept in your browser.
What you can do
- Ten built-in interface languages, selectable in settings and available offline
- A small buffer bar always visible on the player, even in full screen
- Dislike counts and a like/dislike ratio bar back under every video
- Sponsor segments skipped automatically with SponsorBlock
- A distraction blocker for Shorts, comments, side suggestions, home recommendations, trending, end screens and mixes
- Watched videos marked automatically, with an adjustable threshold and dimmed thumbnails
- A larger volume slider, subscription folders and a learning dashboard that tracks playlist progress
- AI chapters, playlist tools and comment analysis with your chosen provider
- Translated dubbing with your browser voice or optional local voices
How to install
Install this ZIP manually in a desktop Chromium browser. Your browser requires Developer mode and your confirmation to load the extension.
- Download the zip file and extract it. Keep the extracted
youtubeallfolder somewhere permanent, for example in your Documents. - Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome,edge://extensionsin Edge, orbrave://extensionsin Brave. - Turn on Developer mode (top right in Chrome, left menu in Edge).
- Click Load unpacked and select the
youtubeallfolder. - Pin the extension from the puzzle-piece menu, open YouTube and choose the features you want in its popup.
To update, download the new version, replace the folder’s content and click the reload arrow on the extension’s card.
Optional statistics
Off by default. Extension options let you allow version, platform, daily availability, opens and fixed feature/error counters to be sent to Hodogon. No account, browsing history, visited URLs, content, movie/game names or error text is sent. Disabling clears the local identifier and counters. Availability depends on extension wake-ups and does not count all installed copies.
Optional local voices
Dubbing works out of the box with your browser voice. For more natural voices on Windows, the tools folder includes PowerShell installers for local engines (Kokoro, Chatterbox, Edge Neural, Pocket TTS) and a small helper that starts them automatically. Python is required for these optional tools.
Privacy
Your settings, watch history and API keys stay in your browser. The extension only contacts the services behind the features you use: Return YouTube Dislike, SponsorBlock, and OpenAI, Gemini or Google Translate if you choose them. Technical statistics can be enabled separately, as described below.
Independent project
Tubeboon is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Dislike counts are estimates from the Return YouTube Dislike API, and sponsor segments come from the SponsorBlock community database.
